Where to Find Windblown Save Files on Your PC

Windblown has officially launched into early access on Steam, marking the latest entry into the action roguelite genre by Motion Twin, the creators behind Dead Cells. With the game now in early access, players can anticipate numerous updates throughout its development phase, making this an ideal time to provide valuable feedback to the team. While Windblown does not support Steam Cloud directly, it utilizes its own cloud save feature. If you’re interested in backing up your game progress, we’ve outlined where to find Windblown’s save files.

Where to Find Windblown Save Files

You can locate your Windblown save files in the following directory on your PC:

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Motion Twin\Windblown

Inside the Windblown folder, you will find your save files along with the game’s settings. To ensure you don’t lose any progress, it’s advisable to copy the entire folder if you’re planning to move your files to another device. Remember that it’s essential to back up updated files, as older save files might not be compatible with future game updates during the early access phase.

Activating Cloud Saves in Windblown

As per the developers’ announcement, activating cloud saves requires you to sign in using either your Steam account or an email, which will enable the online play feature. However, it seems that this doesn’t currently leverage Steam Cloud.

There is a possibility that the developers will introduce Steam Cloud support in the future, as the existing system only permits progress transfer when an online account is utilized.

Providing Your Feedback

If you’re looking for this cloud saving feature, we strongly encourage you to provide feedback to the developers through the in-game feedback mechanism. While they are engaged in discussions on the Steam forums as well, the in-game option offers a more streamlined approach for communication. To access this, pause the game and click the button located in the upper right corner.

A form will then appear, allowing you to submit your feedback with the “Suggestion”category selected.
