When Mushoku Tensei comes to mind, it is often associated with a variety of things: the impressive animation, creative world-building and storyline, and the unconventional protagonist, Rudeus. From the very start of the anime, we have witnessed Rudeus making the most unappealing expressions, even as an infant. It could be argued that this is what adds a unique aspect to Mushoku Tensei.
There has always been an abundance of females in Rudeus’ life since the beginning. With his interest in most of the females around him, it’s only natural to wonder who he will end up with. In this article, we will discover the identity of Rudeus’ future spouse in the series.
Rudeus Greyrat: A Brief Biography
The protagonist of Mushoku Tensei is Rudeus Greyrat, a 34-year-old shut-in who was reincarnated as an infant in a different world.
With his attractive appearance, a supportive family, and numerous female admirers, Rudeus was grateful for his natural aptitude for magic. He made a conscious decision to start fresh in the new world and make the most out of his life.
Sylphiette: The First Wife
Sylphiette, also known as Sylphy, was a childhood friend of Rudeus from his hometown. They first met at the age of five and despite initially mistaking her for a boy, they quickly developed a strong friendship. Sylphy grew fond of Rudeus in no time, making it one of the most wholesome relationships he had in the anime.
Despite Sylphy’s natural talent for magic, her family couldn’t afford the fees for her to attend Ranoa Magic University. Nevertheless, Rudeus made sure to regularly teach her magic, hoping that one day they could attend the university together.
Upon questioning his father about his ability to support her, he was sent away to labor for a relative. This was done in order for him to become self-sufficient and cultivate a sense of autonomy. Additionally, Paul desired to temporarily distance himself from her in order to avoid the formation of any detrimental dependencies.
Despite the unexpected teleport incident causing a delay, Rudeus was eventually able to reunite with Sylphy several years later at the Ranoa Magic Academy. At the time, Sylphy was known as Fitz and held the position of a senior at the academy.
Sylphy and Rudeus met and fell in love in Ranoa. Sylphy had been in love with Rudeus from the start and patiently waited for him for years. Eventually, they decided to settle down in the town and tie the knot, buying a house together. They later welcomed a child into their loving family.
Second Wife
Initially in Mushoku Tensei, Roxy was introduced as Rudeus’ magic teacher when he was only three years old. As a Water King Class Magician, she possessed great skill in magic. Roxy had a significant impact on Rudeus during his childhood and he held her in high regard.
P
In addition to the respect he had for her, Roxy was among the first individuals that Rudeus developed sexual feelings for during his youth. He went as far as taking her underwear and treating it like a valuable object, and he even used magic to create lifelike sculptures of her.
After Roxy had imparted all of her knowledge to Rudeus, she departed from their home. They only reunited several years later, following the teleportation incident and Rudeus’ marriage to Sylphy.
Under unique circumstances, Rudeus was journeying with his father’s group to rescue his mother from a treacherous Labyrinth when the reunion occurred. Roxy, who had been stranded in the same labyrinth for several days, was ultimately discovered and rescued by Rudeus, leading to the development of her feelings for him.
During the mission, they successfully rescued Zenith, but it came at the cost of Paul’s life. Rudeus struggled to come to terms with this loss, but Roxy’s support helped him cope with the pain, ultimately leading Rudeus to develop feelings for her.
After returning home with Roxy, Rudeus asked his wife Sylphy, who was pregnant, if he could also marry Roxy. Sylphy responded that she had expected this from Rudeus and had never believed he would limit himself to one woman. Once Sylphy gave birth, Rudeus took Roxy as his second wife.
Eris Boreas Greyrat- The Third Wife
Eris Boreas Greyrat, Rudeus’ second cousin, was sent to work at the home of Paul. During his time there, Rudeus taught Eris math and magic, while Ghislaine taught him swordsmanship in return.
Despite her short temper and pampered nature, Eris was quick to anger over seemingly trivial matters. When the teleportation incident occurred, she and Rudeus found themselves transported to the demon continent, where they joined forces with a powerful Superd man who had promised to help them return home.
Eris quickly improved her sword technique while spending ample time traveling through the Demon Continent with Ruijerd, the Superd who was training them.
Despite Eris’ realization of her own weakness when Rudeus was on the brink of death after encountering Orsted, she constantly felt inadequate and feared that she would never be an equal match for him if she remained weak.
Therefore, as their journey came to an end, Eris and Rudeus spent their final evening together before parting ways. Eris left Rudeus with only a letter, a lock of her hair, and a deep sense of despair.
Eris’ insatiable desire for power drove her to achieve the title of Sword King. She mastered the Sword God Style and gained enough strength to be acknowledged as a formidable warrior.
Five years after their separation, Rudeus and Eris reunited and joined forces to battle Orsted. In a surprising turn of events, Eris was able to chop off Orsted’s arm during the intense fight. As a result, Rudeus welcomed Eris back into his life and she became his third wife. Eris also accompanied Rudeus on his subsequent adventures, as her sword skills complemented his own.
