However, fate took a cruel turn and Lumiere was forced to defeat Licht in battle, ultimately earning him the title of the First Wizard King.
Lumiere: Origins and Role in Black Clover
Lumiere Silvamillion Clover was a member of the royal family with a mission to design magical objects that could benefit all individuals, even those with minimal magical abilities. Unlike other royals who held negative views towards commoners and elves, Lumiere harbored no biases and aimed to bring them together.
Therefore, on a fateful day when he and his sister Tetia unexpectedly crossed paths with Licht, the leader of the Elf tribe, he formed a bond with him. Despite the hesitation of some members of the Elf tribe, he conveyed his dream of bringing humans and elves together.
In light of this, when Licht and Tetia’s love blossomed, he advocated for their marriage. Tragically, on their wedding day, a devil named Zagred ensnared him and slaughtered the entire Elf Tribe. The circumstances made it appear as though humans were responsible for the massacre, but it was ultimately the work of the devil.
Licht’s main goal was to prevent Zagred from possessing his body. To achieve this, he transformed into a massive demon and requested Lumiere to end his life upon arrival. In order to safeguard his kingdom and aid his companion in escaping the agony, Lumiere fulfilled Licht’s request and vanquished the beast.
Following Lumiere’s mortal injury, he was sealed within a statue atop the giant skull by Secre Swallowtail. As a result, he became known as the first Wizard King.
During the fight against Zagred years later, Secre released the seal on the statue and recruited Lumiere to help her in the battle against the devil. Following the conclusion of the battle, Lumiere’s life finally came to an end.
Lumiere’s Powers and Abilities Explained
Lumiere Silvamillion Clover was endowed with the power of Light magic, allowing him to create and control light. This encompassed abilities such as rapid travel over great distances and molding light into massive arrows that transform into beams. In combat, he was also proficient in fashioning light into swords.
Additionally, Lumiere possesses the ability to use Union Magic. This was demonstrated when he fused his magic with Licht’s Sword Magic.
Furthermore, his grimoire contains four leaves, indicating that he was a remarkable prodigy who was favored by mana.
