Who is Sketch? Viral Twitch streamer takes over the NFL

Ever since gaining popularity, ‘Sketch’, a well-known Twitch streamer, has been dominating social media and even making an impact in the NFL.

If you have been using TikTok lately, chances are you have encountered some videos of a Twitch streamer named ‘Sketch’ and also seen many people on the internet imitating his actions in their own videos.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Sketch has only been creating content for approximately one year. He stated that he began streaming on TikTok during the summer of 2023 and then began broadcasting on Twitch shortly after.

Initially, Sketch stated that he faced a lot of negativity due to his poor eyesight and struggles with reading his chat… however, he has since become one of the most popular personalities on the internet, with a whopping 670K followers on Twitch.

Sketch is well-loved by audiences for his comedic mannerisms and signature sayings, such as his chipper catchphrase, “What’s up, brother?”This phrase gained widespread popularity on TikTok in March when a user encouraged women to test their boyfriends by saying it to them.

Despite speculation from viewers, Sketch has confirmed in an interview with Bradley Martyn that he does not have a condition. However, he does admit to having a ‘tic’ with his fingers when he gets excited and describes himself as a “very anxious”person.

Sketch and Jynxzi, two popular streamers, are known for their friendship. Jynxzi gained fame on Twitch in late 2020 and a viral trend called “what’s up brother”was started when a clip of the two having a Facetime call went viral on Jynxzi’s stream.

The streamer’s passion for football has not gone unnoticed, attracting the attention of numerous prominent players in the NFL. In fact, some of these players have even taken to mimicking Sketch’s popular catchphrases in their own videos, which can be seen on their social media accounts like this one.

The official NFL TikTok account shared a video from one of Sketch’s live streams, featuring his popular catchphrase: “Special teams, special plays, special players.”

Generally, Sketch is highly regarded for his positive demeanor, comical behaviors, and engaging live broadcasts, with numerous supporters claiming that the internet “chose the perfect person to gain fame.”
