A male K-pop idol from the fourth generation is rumored to be dating one of ENHYPEN’s back-up dancers.
On July 31, 2024, a post titled “Male idols’ egg account reveals his romantic involvement”was uploaded to Nate Pann, a renowned online community forum in South Korea. The post included multiple screenshots alleging that TEMPEST’s Hyuk is in a relationship with a backup dancer for ENHYPEN.
In the post, a screenshot of Hyuk’s Bubble message wishing fans good night was shared. It was posted on the same day that the alleged girlfriend posted on her Instagram Story about eating yeoksam pot with a man. Although the man’s face was not visible, he can be seen wearing the same jacket that Hyuk wore in the post.
Upon receiving a private message from a fan inquiring about the identity of the person next to her, the dancer simply asked, “Who are you?”rather than confirming or denying if it was TEMPEST’s Hyuk. The fan then claimed that the dancer’s response unknowingly confirmed the identity of the person next to her.
Hyuk’s supposed girlfriend then proceeded to block him on Instagram.
Upon reading the comments, it was evident that Korean netizens were quick to ridicule Hyuk for his actions, claiming that the only reason he was able to engage in activities such as dating, posting lovestagrams, and visiting clubs and adult entertainment venues was because he was not a popular idol. They also mockingly accused his alleged girlfriend of showing off a “flop”idol and insinuated that the reason for his relationships with backup dancers was due to his inability to date female idols.
Some individuals claimed they were previously unaware of Hyuk’s existence, and were surprised that others were familiar with him.
A few comments stated,
- “Who the f*ck is this?”
- “Imagine flexing a flop idol.”
- “So he can’t dance with female idols, so he chooses to date dancers instead.”
- “It’s true that nugu-dols are way more intense with the way they date, do lovestagram, and go to clubs and adult entertainment. They even date their fans. It’s always A-list and B-list idols that receive more hate.”
- “I’m more impressed by the fact that there are people here who actually know who he is. Who is this?”
