Despite this information, fans still have one burning question: who is the newly appointed Upper Moon 4 demon in Demon Slayer? The answer is none other than Nakime.
Nakime: The New Upper Moon 4 Demon in Demon Slayer
Despite having made an appearance in earlier seasons of the anime, Nakime was given limited screen time, making it easy for viewers to forget about her existence. She is the demon responsible for playing the Biwa, a traditional Japanese string instrument that controls the Infinity Castle. This elaborate building possesses the ability to change and alter its orientation and dimensions, which Nakime has the power to control.
Kibitsuji Muzan frequently utilizes this establishment for his gatherings with the Lower and Upper Moon Demons. Following the defeat of Daki and Gyutaro by Tengen Uzui and Tanjiro, the Upper Moon Demons held a meeting in this building. Nakime possesses formidable support abilities, but her direct combat skills are not as strong as other demons.
Despite being outnumbered, Nakime aids the remaining demons by continuously modifying the layout of the rooms. Additionally, she possesses the power to instantly transport them to different locations within the building. This ability is demonstrated in the first episode of the fourth season, where Nakime uses it to help a demon escape from Sanemi and Obanai by causing them to exit the building.
Nakime’s eye has the remarkable capability to move independently and conduct extensive long-distance reconnaissance. It traveled to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, a location that had been overlooked by the demon hunters on patrol during the night.
Readers of the manga will be aware that she played a significant part in Muzan’s discovery of Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Viewers can anticipate an increased involvement of the New Upper Moon 4 demon in the upcoming season, which will cover the Infinity Castle arc.
Even though this story arc lacks action, Nakime will still be a nuisance to the demon hunter as she uses her abilities to aid Muzan and other Upper Moon demons in their goal to defeat the current demon hunters.
