Understanding more about the Ordinary Woman in
My Hero Academia
The Ordinary Woman in My Hero Academia is a citizen of Japan with a fox-like appearance. She was rescued by the series’ protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, towards the end of the Paranormal Liberation War arc. Despite her average civilian status, she is tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, and possesses a human-like physique.
The protagonist arrived in the nick of time to save her from an incident that took place in her home city at night. She was simply attempting to evacuate, but was instead confronted by three civilians who mistook her for an enemy due to her appearance. Despite her efforts to defuse the situation, she ended up being attacked by one of the civilians’ arm cannon. Luckily, the protagonist’s timely arrival prevented any further harm to her.
Despite Deku’s reassurance to all parties that Ordinary Woman was not a threat, people remained on edge due to the high number of casualties. Unfortunately, Deku’s explanation fell on deaf ears as the civilians continued to blame her and flee the scene, feeling intimidated by his arrival. Despite All Might’s efforts to help, her Mutant Quirk made it difficult for her to find refuge in a shelter. She was forced to constantly move from one shelter to another in a desperate attempt to find safety while the fight against evil raged on.
There are some interesting trivia surrounding this character, which can be discovered in volume 32 of the My Hero Academia manga series. In this volume, the manga author specifically mentioned that he gave her string features in order for her to stand out in fans’ minds. While she may not have a significant role in the plot, she is the only regular citizen that Horikoshi wanted to highlight. Her unusual height is explained by the inspiration he took from the popular anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is all the information that fans need to know about the Ordinary Woman in the animanga series.
