Why Can’t aespa Achieve a Perfect All-Kill (PAK)? iChart Apologizes and Provides Explanation

Despite aespa’s success in topping domestic charts with “Supernova,”fans are curious about their lack of a Perfect All-Kill (PAK). However, iChart has since provided an explanation for this.

Ever since its debut on May 13, the song “Supernova”has been gaining popularity and currently holds the number one spot on both domestic and international music charts.

In South Korea, the quartet maintains its record-breaking streak by reaching the top spot on major charts, including the Melon Top 100, Hot 100, Bugs, Genie, and Flo.

As of now, its cumulative streams on Spotify have also surpassed 18 million, further demonstrating its strength.

With this achievement, aespa became one of the artists to reach Real-Time All-Kill (RAK) in 2024!

The next objective would be achieving a Perfect All-Kill (PAK), which involves ranking first on the real-time, daily, and weekly charts at the same time, as calculated by the Instiz iChart.

Despite it being two weeks since its release, “Supernova”has had a major impact and MYs (fandom) are still questioning why the group has not yet received the recognition they deserve.

Upon examining the chart, it appears that the primary factor affecting the rankings is the Vibe music chart. Despite MYs’ diligent streaming efforts, “Supernova”remained at No. 3, causing confusion.

Curiously, this is not the initial occurrence for an artist to experience, as Neverlands, supporters of (G)I-DLE, had previously voiced their dissatisfaction with this issue as well.

Consequently, aespa’s fan base began to criticize the online music chart aggregator, iChart, and voiced their dissatisfaction with the true situation.

Many MYs are starting to lose hope as major competitors like NewJeans and BTS RM have announced their plans to release their own songs on May 24, leaving them feeling cheated.

Due to the ongoing complaints, iChart ultimately made the decision to apologize to MYs, stating:

“We’re sorry we couldn’t make aespa’s ‘Supernova’ a perfect all-kill.”

After this response, they were met with additional negative feedback, with many commenting that they should simply eliminate Vibe, as it is not commonly embraced by most music enthusiasts.

Nevertheless, iChart provided an explanation:

“We can’t intervene with Vibe’s ranking.”

These are a few responses from fans:

Currently, aespa is far from finished and is in fact just beginning to take over the music industry. On May 27, the group will release their debut full-length album, “Armageddon”featuring two title tracks with the same name.

The long-awaited studio album from the quartet, coming after a four-year hiatus, will also feature 8 additional b-sides that will be revealed on the same day.
