On the upcoming September 2nd episode of KBS 1TV’s “My Hometown at 6 PM,” viewers can look forward to seeing LE SSERAFIM members Sakura, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin joining village youth president Son Heon-su as special guests. Despite having no prior experience with rural life, the members will wholeheartedly assist elderly villagers with their daily tasks, bringing joy and warmth to the community.
The three individuals will encounter the “LE SSERAFIM of Paju,”winners of the 2023 National Line Dance Competition. Despite their success last year, the older members, aged in their 70s and 80s, were unable to join this year’s competition due to health concerns and demanding farming duties. In light of this, the LE SSERAFIM team has taken on the role of “one-day dance mentors”in hopes of guiding them to victory in the upcoming competition.
When the younger members of “LE SSERAFIM of Paju”ask to learn the hip dance, Huh Yunjin volunteers to incorporate the “Smart”choreography from LE SSERAFIM into the line dance. Yunjin assumes the role of a dance instructor, urging everyone to “Keep a big smile while dancing,”while maintaining her warm and approachable personality, which stands in contrast to her captivating stage presence. As a result, she wins over the admiration of the older members.
Furthermore, in a display of their strong sense of community, Son Heon-su and LE SSERAFIM willingly lend a hand to a member of the “LE SSERAFIM of Paju”who is feeling unwell and struggling with their farming duties. Despite being informed that their clothing was not suitable for the task at hand, they quickly change into traditional work pants worn by the elders and work tirelessly, sweating profusely. Sakura shares her own experience, stating, “My back is sore, just like my grandmother’s used to be.”Similarly, Kazuha expresses her deep empathy, remarking, “I can’t help but think about the hardworking elders who do this every day.”Despite the scorching weather,
Despite their efforts, LE SSERAFIM finally gets to try pumpkin leaf wraps. Huh Yunjin is especially delighted as she even prepares some for the elders, falling in love with the traditional Korean dish. However, their relaxation is short-lived as an elder interrupts, declaring that they must now collect mung beans, adding another task to their farming duties.
The special meeting between “My Hometown at 6 PM” and LE SSERAFIM will be aired in two segments on September 2nd and September 9th at 6 PM on KBS 1TV.
