In 2021, a fan on TikTok asked contestant Aaron Francis how he manages to wake up immediately when the lights turn on. In response, he explained, “The lights on set are incredibly bright, almost blinding. That’s why we all wear sunglasses in the morning.”

In the past, when I watched previous series, I would question why the characters wore sunglasses in bed. However, now I understand that it’s because the room is bright and wearing sunglasses helps to immediately wake you up.
