The supposed leaks for chapter 268 of Jujutsu Kaisen revealed the concluding moments of Sukuna as he was forcibly separated from Megumi Fushiguro’s body. While the disappearance of Sukuna and Uraume’s decision to depart were major events in this chapter, the fandom was abuzz with discussions about Gojo’s final message that was unveiled.

Despite being brief, the messages that were sent to Nobara and Megumi by Gojo had a significant impact. However, the message sent to Megumi turned out to be the revelation of Gojo’s role in the death of Megumi’s father. Considering Gojo’s influence on the story and his students’ lives, many fans had anticipated a more impactful message.

In the alleged spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268, it was disclosed that Gojo had left final messages for Megumi and Nobara. His letter to Nobara contained information about her mother and the current state of affairs.

In the meantime, his communication with Megumi included the startling admission that he was responsible for the death of Megumi’s father. While some fans may find these final words underwhelming, the concise and seemingly casual delivery of his message effectively ties together all aspects of Gojo’s persona.

Since the beginning of the series, Gojo has been known as the most eccentric and over-the-top character. His nonchalant and carefree attitude is closely tied to his immense power and status as the “strongest”member of the Jujutsu society.

Despite being seen as the ultimate authority in the Jujutsu society, with everything having to adhere to his desires, Gojo had a desire to use his power for good and eradicate the corrupt elements within the society. However, he soon came to the realization that simply addressing the leaders would not bring about lasting change. This realization prompted him to become a teacher, with the hope of shaping the next generation and fundamentally transforming the Jujutsu society.

Despite having lofty ideals, Gojo maintained his distant demeanor while guiding his students. His immense concern for them was apparent when he considered eradicating the upper management for sending Yuji to his demise. Gojo’s persona was centered on being a strong and self-assured figure who prioritized the well-being of his students and the future generation of sorcerers.

Gojo’s connection with his students was unbreakable, leaving little for him to disclose to them. His students were deeply instilled with various training techniques and beliefs that they should adhere to. Gojo did not have any words of motivation or “secrets to becoming stronger”to offer, as true strength is found within the individuals themselves. As a result, his parting words focused on the unanswered questions in his students’ lives.

Despite being taken in by Gojo at a young age, Megumi’s father, Toji, remained an enigma and a source of trouble in his life. However, Gojo was able to resolve this issue for him. Similarly, Nobara’s flashbacks did not mention her parents, and Gojo’s message to her hinted at personal problems within her family that may have caused them to separate. This remained the only unresolved issue in her life.

Despite having no further lessons to impart, Gojo managed to resolve their personal problems through his last words, which reflected his playful yet genuinely affectionate personality. Although the contents of his message to Yuji have not been disclosed, it is likely that he informed Yuji of his ancestry, revealing that Kenjaku was his mother and Sukuna was his uncle in a spiritual sense.

Concluding Thoughts

The purported leaks for chapter 268 of Jujutsu Kaisen revealed that the remaining Jujutsu sorcerers joined forces to “assist”Yuta. In chapter 263, Yuta’s ability to copy techniques had a time limit of 5 minutes, which ran out during his battle. The dialogue in chapter 268 confirms that Yuta is still alive and facing challenges, potentially involving Rika. It is plausible that Rika is involved and Yuta requires the help of all the sorcerers to confront her.

The official release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268 is set for September 1, 2024.
