Why Kishimoto’s Decision to Not Reveal Sarada’s Trump Card Against Hidari and Jura in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Was Perfectly Explained

With the publication of chapter 12 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the manga depicted Boruto and Sarada being defeated by God Tree Jura as they tried to retrieve Hidari’s Thorn Soul Bulb. This event marked the end of Sarada’s battle against the God Trees, at least for the time being.

Despite the majority of fans agreeing that Sarada was well utilized by manga creators Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto in the recent fights, there may be a small portion who disagree. This could be due to the fact that although Sarada had unlocked the Mangekyo Sharingan in the prequel manga, she did not use the technique against the God Trees in the sequel series.

Despite this, it is highly plausible that Sarada’s decision to not use her “trump card”early on in the series was crucial for her character’s growth and development.

Boruto: Sarada’s Character Development and the Absence of her Mangekyo Sharingan Against God Trees

Despite the desire of many fans to see Sarada Uchiha utilize her Mangekyo Sharingan in the battle against Jura and Hidari, it was understandable why she refrained from doing so. As fans may recall, Sarada was different from other Uchihas in that she had not yet unlocked her Mangekyo Sharingan due to the loss of a loved one, rather than through the typical means. In her case, this was a result of her fear of losing Boruto.

Therefore, it is clear that her Mangekyo Sharingan held a significant emotional value. As a result, its early introduction in the series may seem illogical since it required a more substantial buildup. Furthermore, considering that Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan was activated out of fear for Boruto’s safety, it is logical that she would use it to protect him from any future danger in the narrative.

Moreover, it is important for fans to recall that Sasuke Uchiha was the sole possessor of the dojutsu, aside from his daughter Sarada. This meant that no one else could teach her how to utilize her enhanced powers. It should also be noted that only Sasuke knew about Sarada’s Manegkyo Sharingan, indicating that Sarada herself may have been unaware of her dojutsu’s heightened abilities.

Hence, it was logical for Sarada Uchiha to refrain from using her Mangekyo Sharingan against God Trees Jura and Hidari. It is highly likely that in the upcoming Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, both Boruto and Sarada would recuperate from their wounds and commence rigorous training to enhance their combat skills.

Additionally, the manga may showcase Sarada utilizing her Mangekyo Sharingan to face off against God Tree Hidari in a potential rematch on her own. Given that Sarada was the primary target of Hidari, it was logical for her to either confront the God Tree alone or, perhaps ironically, alongside her mother Sakura. This turn of events could result in the mother-daughter duo working together to save their loved one.

Despite this, considering the Boruto series is centered around the new generation of Shinobi, it is highly probable that Sarada Uchiha will confront the God Tree by herself. This battle has the potential to greatly shape the character development of the main female lead in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
