As Mashle’s Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc comes to a close, fans eagerly await the release of Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 3. Since the anime ended just before the last rounds of the Divine Visionary Candidate Exam, fans are hoping for a sequel anime to continue the story.
Despite the lack of announcements from production studio A-1 Pictures or manga creator Hajime Komoto, there is still hope for a sequel season. The ending of the latest season hinted at potential future events, suggesting that there may be a continuation of the anime in the future.

Reasons to Renew Mashle: Magic and Muscles for a Third Season
A-1 Pictures’ production of Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 2 proved to be a success, surpassing the first season. This achievement was largely attributed to the popular opening theme song, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,”by Creepy Nuts. The song gained attention on social media, inspiring anime fans from around the globe to start watching the series.
After the conclusion of the anime’s second season on March 30, 2024, many fans were left wondering about the possibility of a third season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles. Although there has been no confirmation from either A-1 Pictures or manga creator Hajime Komoto, there is strong speculation that production for season 3 will begin in the near future.
The reason for this is that the conclusion of the second season of the anime foreshadows the upcoming events in the series. Following Mash’s successful defense of Easton Magic Academy against Innocent Zero and his henchmen, the public became aware of the main character, Lackmagic.
Therefore, they demonstrated in front of the school in an effort to have Lackmagic eliminated. In reaction, Headmaster Wahlberg Baigan announced that the Bureau of Magic had made the decision to wait until after the conclusion of the Divine Visionary Candidate Exam to make a decision on Mash.
This essentially implied that Mash would be exempt if he were to become a Divine Visionary. However, should he fail, both he and his supporters would face criminal charges. As a result, Mash Burnedead eagerly anticipated using his physical strength to pass the exam.
Furthermore, there is still enough source material for a third season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles in the manga series. The most recent installment of the anime covered 35 chapters (up to chapter 74) from the manga, spanning from the latter half of volume 5 to the beginning of volume 9.
Despite the fact that the manga series consists of 162 chapters and 18 volumes, animation studio A-1 Pictures only has 88 chapters, which have been divided into nine volumes, to work with.
Due to the extensive amount of source material still remaining, A-1 Pictures has the potential to produce two more seasons for the anime series. These seasons would likely cover the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc and Eclipse Arc from the manga.
Despite this, the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc, with only 28 chapters, is significantly shorter than the Eclipse Arc, which has 60 chapters. As a result, A-1 Pictures may be obligated to cover the entirety of the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc and a small portion of the Eclipse Arc in order to produce a third season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles.
Although this possibility holds great potential, fans will need to patiently await confirmation from A-1 Pictures regarding the production of Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 3.
