Despite not receiving an official announcement from Warner Bros. Japan, it is highly probable that Suicide Squad Isekai, produced by WIT Studio, will be renewed for a second season after the conclusion of its first season.

In contrast to the majority of anime which are created by Japanese animation studios, Suicide Squad Isekai anime is developed by Warner Bros. Japan. As the production company entered the anime industry relatively recently, it is highly probable that they have their own unique approach when considering factors for renewing a show.

Despite the cliffhanger ending, the anime has not been renewed for a second season, leading to speculation that production for a new season may be underway. However, fans may have to wait for an official announcement before getting their hopes up.

According to the anime, Harley and her team’s main objective throughout most of the series was to establish a strong connection between the Isekai world and Earth. However, in the finale of the anime, it was revealed that Amanda Waller had given Rick Flag an additional mission – to capture the Joker, who had assumed the role of the Emperor.

Before the season finale, the anime had only featured The Joker in flashbacks alongside Harley Quinn. However, the final episode unveiled that the Clown Prince of Crime had been present in the isekai world since the start. He had been utilizing his newfound abilities to masquerade as important figures within the Empire, most notably Katana.

Although the Joker’s objective was not explicitly expressed, it appeared that he was determined to alleviate Harley’s boredom by introducing her to a new isekai world. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn’s apparent desire to reunite with her “Pudding”as soon as possible was overshadowed by the story’s underlying theme of her eventual confrontation with him.

Regrettably, viewers will have to hold out until the release of Suicide Squad Isekai season 2 to discover more about the story. However, based on speculation, it seems that Warner Bros. Japan does intend to create a second season for fans.
