In the clip, Myung Seo-hyun reminisced, “After dating for about four months, Dae-se’s mother invited me to her home in Japan. Immediately upon my arrival, she said, ‘Dae-se, go upstairs.’ I was filled with dread, wondering, ‘What could she possibly want to discuss privately without him?’” She continued, “Her first question was, ‘What do you find appealing about Dae-se?’ Then she added, ‘If you decide to marry him, I’ll take care of your household finances. How tall are you? What’s your weight?’ These deeply personal inquiries took me by surprise.”

Myung Seo-hyun elaborated, “I was absolutely terrified, and the intensity of her gaze still haunts me. I ended up kneeling and engaging in a two-hour discussion with her. My mind raced with thoughts like, ‘Is this what being a daughter-in-law entails? Am I capable of handling this?’” Jung Dae-se, listening from the studio, expressed his astonishment, saying, “This is news to me. I believed she only shared positive things.”

Additionally, during a therapy session on the show, Myung Seo-hyun opened up about her initial challenges. “I entered the situation with conviction, thinking, ‘I must give my best effort. If I prove my dedication, she will eventually accept me as a daughter-in-law.’ But the reality proved to be quite difficult.”
