Pixel owners who opted into the beta now have access to the third beta of Android 13 QPR3. This beta build is part of an incremental quarterly platform release that includes a number of upgrades. In June, the following significant quarterly update may be made available to all users. Until then, there will be more beta releases.
The third beta of Android 13 QPR3 is currently available with the build number T3B3.230413.00. The build number for Pixel Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a devices with Verizon carrier is T3B3.230413.003.A1.
The Pixel 4a and subsequent Pixel phones, as well as other Android 13-powered devices, can download the third beta update. Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A (5G), Pixel 5A, Pixel 6A, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
Bug fixes are the main emphasis of Android 13 QPR3 Beta 3. And according to the official release notes, the update fixes a number of issues that are already known. The whole list is provided below.
- Resolved problems that could have prevented Wi-Fi calling from operating.
- Resolved a problem that occasionally caused the home screen to remain blank and black, with no app icons or other app-related information.
- The system UI crashed while attempting to reach the Wallpaper & style screen either via the system settings app or by long-pressing on the home screen, and this problem has been fixed.
- Resolved a problem that might, if the phone was in a hot environment, cause the screen on some devices to glow green when toggled.
- The camera’s black screen problem that occurred when the user tried to open it by pushing the power button twice has been fixed.
- Resolved a problem where, occasionally, turning on or off a work profile might cause the device to reboot.
For all Pixel phones, with the exception of the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a with Verizon carrier, the third Android 13 QPR3 Beta is based on the April 2023 Security patch.
You’ll get it over-the-air if your Pixel is already running a Recent build. To test out the new software if you are on the stable version of Android 13, you must sign up for the Android beta program. Visit the Android Beta Program website to do so, and after you do, you can update your phone to the most recent version of Android, version 13 QPR.
Visit this page to download the factory images, and this page to receive the OTA files, to manually sideload your phone with the beta upgrade. Take a backup before sideloading the updated software, just to be safe.
