Will Agatha All Along feature Salem’s Seven? Villain group explained

With the release of a new teaser trailer for Agatha All Along, many viewers are speculating that the show will include one of Marvel’s most notorious groups of villains.

The upcoming spinoff miniseries Agatha All Along, based on WandaVision, will center around the titular witch’s quest to reclaim the powers that were taken from her by Wanda Maximoff.

Despite facing numerous obstacles on the witches’ road, a recent teaser for the upcoming Marvel show suggests that Agatha and her coven may soon encounter an even greater danger.

Salem’s Seven is a significant group in Agatha’s story, but who exactly are they and will they continue to play a role in the show? Here’s all the information we have so far.

Salem’s Seven: Exploring their Origins

Agatha Harkness’ grandchildren by her son are collectively known as Salem’s Seven.

The sole offspring of Agatha, Nicholas Scratch is a formidable warlock. The two resided in the secluded town of New Salem, Colorado until his mother made the decision to relinquish her title as the most influential member of their community and attempt to lead a conventional existence.

This ordinary routine involved taking on the role of nanny for Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue Richards from the Fantastic Four.

Following that, Nicholas assumed control over New Salem and fathered seven children, who would be forever recognized as Salem’s Seven.

Despite their seemingly ordinary appearance, the group possessed individual supernatural abilities, such as transforming into humanoid creatures with animal characteristics.

Due to their father’s intense animosity towards their mother and the Fantastic Four, Salem’s Seven plotted to abduct Agatha and Franklin as a means of seeking retribution for Nicholas.

Fortunately, the Fantastic Four successfully foiled their plan and as a result, Salem’s Seven and New Salem both turned against Nicholas.

During their trip to New Salem, the group served as the primary antagonists for Wanda and her husband, Vision, but they eventually formed an alliance with their former foes.

In the 2014 comic New Warriors, the team is depicted as serving as guardians for New Salem, which is now recognized as a sanctuary for individuals “born of magic.”

Will Salem’s Seven Appear in Agatha All Along?

A sneak peek of Agatha All Along featured glimpses of Salem’s Seven interacting with the coven.

At the 0:38 mark of the trailer, the teen character traveling with Agatha on the witches’ road is approached by a group of seven individuals wearing long dark robes.

In a matter of only two seconds, a figure resembling an insect can be witnessed emitting what appears to be a swarm of bees or hornets from their mouth, reminiscent of the abilities possessed by Salem’s Seven’s Thornn.

Despite the lack of confirmation in the promotional material, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Salem’s Seven or Nicholas Scratch make an appearance in Agatha All Along. As the show follows the solo journey of self-discovery for everyone’s beloved witch, it’s possible that this group, whether for better or worse, plays a role in her family.

The debut of Agatha All Along will take place on September 18 via Disney+.
