Despite only two years passing, rumors began to circulate about a potential split between Ariana Grande and Ithaca Holdings, casting doubt on HYBE’s significant 1 trillion won investment.
On June 12th (KST), Scooter Braun, the president of Ithaca Holdings, unexpectedly announced on his social media accounts that Ariana Grande would be joining HYBE’s Weverse platform.
Weverse is a digital platform that enables communication between HYBE’s artists and their fans, as well as providing a marketplace for albums and merchandise. The recent announcement also revealed that Ariana Grande’s beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, will be prominently promoted, resulting in a positive reception from fans worldwide.
Despite being a crucial component of HYBE’s operations, Weverse has mainly targeted K-POP enthusiasts, resulting in restricted global expansion. The inclusion of international pop sensation Ariana Grande is anticipated to draw in a considerable number of users from around the world.
