Will MW3 and Warzone Operator Skins Transfer to Black Ops 6?

For fans eager to transfer their favorite operator skins from Modern Warfare 3 to Black Ops 6, Activision has disappointing news.

Modern Warfare 3 embraced the ‘Carry Forward’ feature, enabling players to transfer their entire collection of weapons and operator skins from Modern Warfare 2. Ideally, having a vast array of weapons and attachments would offer more diversity.

However, many players felt that the multiplayer and Warzone modes were compromised by a surplus of underused “trash” guns. Balancing over 115 options proved to be challenging, and JGOD noted that the balancing updates fell short in addressing this issue.

Fortunately for multiplayer enthusiasts, this concern is alleviated in Black Ops 6, as weapons will no longer transfer over. Despite this, players will still find guns from all three titles in Warzone. Operators are curious whether their cosmetic purchases from the past two years will be carried forward.

The only exception is the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Woods Operator Pack preorder benefit. This pack is currently available in Modern Warfare III and will transition to Black Ops 6.

In defense of this choice, Activision stated, “We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.”

Players are left questioning the value of acquiring new skins in the upcoming season if they won’t carry over to multiplayer. MW3 Season 6 begins on Sept. 14, with BO6 launching on Oct. 25. Notably, popular operator skins, such as those themed after Walking Dead, Smile, and Michael Myers, will only be available for multiplayer for a limited time.
