The 153rd chapter of Wind Breaker, titled “Heat,”began in a strange world filled with shattered mannequins, scattered ramen noodle cups, and plastic boxes. As Takiishi made his way through the debris, he came face to face with a blazing figure. This fiery persona engulfed the entire world in flames, and it was eventually revealed to be Umemiya.

Takiishi could not contain his excitement as he ran towards Umemiya, who had just returned to the top of Furin High School. The latest chapter of Wind Breaker, following on from the previous one, showed the ongoing battle between Umemiya and Takiishi, with the former delivering a fatal blow to the latter.

As Takiishi retaliated by throwing Umemiya, he felt a spark of something awaken within him. However, before Umemiya could be tossed aside, he grabbed Takiishi’s wrist and forcefully slammed his head into the ground. The focus then shifted to Endo, who observed the intensity of the brawl.

Meanwhile, Sakura stood in a state of disbelief, unable to accept that the person battling Takiishi was actually Umemiya, their leader. Summoning her courage, Sakura questioned Endo about the resemblance to Umemiya’s appearance during their days in Furin. Endo confirmed that this was indeed the persona Umemiya had when he first emerged in Furin.

Additionally, Endo remarked that, apart from Sakura, all of the others were aware of Umemiya’s current condition. Endo also described Umemiya as the most stubborn individual he had ever encountered, which was why he was able to completely transform the corrupt Furin into something entirely new.

In order to elaborate on his statement, he retrieved a nail from the floor and proceeded to illustrate how metal must reach a temperature of 2700 degrees Fahrenheit in order to be transformed into something new. Similarly, with his determined determination, Umemiya transformed Furin from a notorious gang hangout into a welcoming place for anyone.

From the beginning, Umemiya had set this as his goal. As the chapter progressed, Endo taunted Sakura and their friends for believing Umemiya to be a benevolent leader. However, Endo did acknowledge that this was the sole reason for Umemiya’s presence in Takiishi’s world.

Endo’s attention then turned to Sakura, who appeared to be a blend of sadness and disappointment. He couldn’t help but wonder about the expression on Sakura’s face as they reached the climax of Wind Breaker chapter 153 and she expressed how distant Umemiya seemed to feel.
