The chapter, titled “Raging Inferno,”opened with Sakura and Endo closely observing the fierce duel between Takiishi and Umemiya. As the battle escalated, Sakura grew increasingly concerned for their safety, especially given the escalating violence.

He expressed his concerns to Endo, highlighting the possibility of Takiishi suffering a serious injury at the hands of Umemiya. In response, Endo erupted in hysteria, which further unsettled Sakura. Endo then reflected on an earlier moment when Umemiya had confessed his inability to defeat Takiishi.

Endo recounted how Takiishi, during his time with Furin, presented an unyielding barrier to Umemiya and his allies, who attempted to recruit him into their ranks.

Despite Umemiya’s persistent invitations to join the “good side,”Takiishi remained steadfast. This period saw the emergence of a loyal following for Umemiya as he gathered supporters for his cause. However, Takiishi and other members who disagreed with Umemiya’s ideals eventually departed from Furin, leading to the formation of ‘Noroshi.’

After sharing the background, Endo admitted his failure to grasp Takiishi’s true motivations, particularly his desire to fight against Umemiya’s earlier persona. He acknowledged that his admiration for Takiishi clouded his judgment, and if he had recognized Takiishi’s passion, he could have intervened to prevent Furin from softening under Umemiya’s leadership.

This revelation angered Sakura, yet he maintained his composure. Endo clarified that the focus should be on Umemiya’s condition rather than Takiishi’s, asserting that Takiishi’s fiery spirit was indomitable.

As the clash between Umemiya and Takiishi intensified, both fighters threw caution to the wind, oblivious to the potential consequences of their actions. After Umemiya sent Takiishi flying into the net, something within Takiishi awakened, transforming his presence entirely.

From that moment, he began to deftly dodge Umemiya’s attacks. When Umemiya attempted to seize him, Takiishi countered by overpowering him and slamming him to the ground. Wind Breaker chapter 154 concluded with Sakura expressing concern for Umemiya, while Endo marveled at Takiishi’s display of strength, leaving Umemiya sprawled on the ground, seemingly defeated.
