Exploring Chapter 160 of *Wind Breaker*: Shishitoren Captures Attention as Their Struggles Post-Furin Showdown Surface
Chapter 160 of *Wind Breaker*, titled “Melting Snow,”resumed from where the last installment concluded. Tomiyama, caught mid-bite, greeted Sakura and the group, only to be distracted by a nearby barbecue, almost forgetting his words.
As the conversation unfolded, Nirei seized the moment to introduce Tomiyama, the leader of Shishitoren, to Suzuri and Kanji. Tomiyama humorously displayed the flag of his gang during the introduction, showing his playful side.
Kanji identified himself as the chairman of Roppoichiza, while Suzuri represented Gravel. Both expressed their eagerness to meet Tomiyama and build a strong rapport with Shishitoren akin to the one they had with Furin. Kanji extended an invitation for Tomiyama to dine with them, highlighting Suzuri’s culinary skills.
True to his character, Tomiyama accepted the invitation. During their ongoing chat, Nirei seemed to struggle with his breathing, prompting concern from Sakura. He clarified that his anxiety stemmed from being in the presence of former enemies who were celebrating together.
Tsubaki joined the dialogue, commending Tomiyama for his contributions during the Noroshi encounter. Tomiyama credited his actions to his bond with Umemiya, with Togame noting that Sakura was pivotal in rallying their support.
The narrative then shifted to focus on Kouta and Hiiragi, who stood awkwardly together as other Shishitoren members granted them privacy to address their issues without outside interference.
Feeling the pressure of silence, Kouta offered Hiiragi a drink, to which Hiiragi was taken aback by Kouta’s newfound formality and reflected on their past dynamics. Kouta expressed his candid feelings about nearly leaving Shishitoren after their defeat by Furin, admitting he had joined the gang on impulse.
After suffering a loss to Hiiragi, Kouta experienced a wave of anger before realizing how immature his reactions were. Although Shishitoren faced challenges post-defeat, Kouta chose to remain with his gang as it felt like home. The chapter concluded with Kouta sincerely apologizing to Hiiragi for his previous resentment.
