Following the latest shocking twist in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261, Wind Breaker has just made a reference to Gojo that has fans reminiscing about the beloved character.
Following its jaw-dropping twist in Chapter 261, Jujutsu Kaisen has taken the world by storm. The beloved character Satoru Gojo makes a surprising return from death, but there’s a catch: Gojo is no longer himself, as his body has become a host for Yuta Okkotsu.
Despite fans still processing this development, the recently released Episode 8 of the anime Wind Breaker pays tribute to Gojo with a scene featuring Hajime Umemiya’s battle against Choji Tomiyama.
Ever since his debut in the Wind Breaker anime, Umemiya has captivated viewers with his uncanny resemblance to Gojo. With his white hair and immense strength, he mirrors the traits of Gojo, making them both powerful characters in their respective series. Additionally, they are both voiced by the same Japanese actor, Yuichi Nakamura.
Despite this, they share a cheerful nature and a hint of goofiness. However, when circumstances demand it, Umemiya and Gojo rise to the challenge.
The passing of Gojo was met with great sadness among Jujutsu Kaisen fans. As a result, Umemiya’s appearance in the Spring 2024 anime has served as a comforting reminder of Gojo. In Wind Breaker Episode 8, there is a particular scene that highlights the striking resemblance between Gojo and Umemiya.
Umemiya, the leader of Bofurin, confidently prepares to battle against Tomiyama, the leader of Shishitoren. Given the immense strength of both fighters, the upcoming confrontation is predicted to be fierce. As soon as the fight commences, Umemiya boldly declares, “I am certain I will emerge victorious.”

The discovery of this similarity has caused fans to become extremely excited, with one user commenting on X, “This is the universe where Gojo emerges victorious.”
One user comments, “I felt chills.” Another fan remarks, “It’s great to have Gojo back.”
Despite the canonical impossibility of Gojo’s return in Jujutsu Kaisen, fans are now rallying behind Umemiya. The outcome of his battle against Tomiyama will be unveiled in Episode 9, set to premiere on May 30, 2024.
On the contrary, the release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261 is set for May 26, 2024.
