In the beginning of Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 11, Will Serfort explains the 1/1000 rule, which is a credit system indicating that the Evil Grand Duke’s actual worth is not 270 credits, but 270,000 credits. Realizing the monster is beyond their strength, Will advises the team to retreat and formulate a strategy.

Wignall attempts to buy time for the mages with his illusion spells, but they prove ineffective against the Evil Grand Duke’s fury. This episode reveals that the Evil Grand Duke is part of the high-level demons from the evil family residing on the 25th floor.

Lihanna speculates that the mysterious mage killers must have summoned the monsters using the Gate spell. Meanwhile, the mages find themselves cornered on the 11th floor with the Evil Guards and Sentinels scouring for them.

Will Serfort realizes that defeating the Evil Grand Duke is essential to finding an escape route. Julius, however, is skeptical of Will’s plan, doubting their ability to defeat such a powerful monster. Despite this, Wignall places his full trust in Will.

Lihanna supports Wignall and believes Will should lead since he has hope in his eyes. Contrary to this, Julius remains unconvinced about Will’s potential for survival. Ultimately, Will convinces Julius that he is the key to the plan, even revealing the secret behind Elfaria’s spell.

The episode progresses as the mages charge towards the Evil Grand Duke. Julius skillfully creates multiple living clones using Ars Weiss to ensure the uninterrupted chanting of advanced ice magic, while the others cast successive spells to create diversions.

Normally, if an incantation gets interrupted, the spell fails. However, the living clones created by Julius allow him to maintain the casting of his most devastating technique, Armenta Auliscas. This attack briefly halts the Evil Grand Duke but fails to destroy it.

Lihanna follows up with her super-charged Owensique Lisolde Dua, aiming for a close-range strike, but is shocked to encounter a remote barrier on the monster that activates as soon as her spell lands. Will Serfort leaps forward to protect her, but loses his goggles in the process.

With the breaking of his goggles, Will Serfort succumbs to despair and fear. To Will, those goggles given by Elfaria served as his magic armor, and their loss makes him feel vulnerable. Meanwhile, Wignall and Lihanna risk their lives to buy time for their comrades to escape.

The focus then shifts to Sion Ulster, who, engulfed in despair, believes Wignall and Lihanna will perish. He tries to rationalize that escaping would preserve their lives from wasting in vain.

As despair washes over him, Will Serfort timidly asks Sion to punch him, admitting he’s trembling in fear without his goggles. He confesses that he can’t fulfil his promise to Elfaria without them. Sion, grabbing Will by the collar, reminds him that he has been a source of hope for everyone.

Sion strikes Will hard, scolding him for his fear while their friends are in peril. He prepares to hit Will again, but in that instant, Will finds his courage again. He expresses gratitude to Sion and returns to the battle, leaving Sion bewildered.

Meanwhile, Colette tells Sion that Will has always faced his fears. He carried a sword instead of a wand capable of casting distant magic due to his limitations. With tears streaming down her face, she reveals that although Will is a coward, he doesn’t understand the meaning of fleeing due to his steadfast bravery. Following Colette’s emotional outburst in Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 11, she joins the battle.

Observing the Evil Grand Duke’s formidable defense due to its wings, Will formulates a plan to cut off those wings to have any chance of defeating it. Even though he remains frightened without his goggles, he charges forward, motivated by the fear of losing his friends more than his own fears.

As Will counters the Evil Grand Duke’s spells, he takes to the air. Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 11 features Colette using her magic to send a sword towards Will, which he employs to sever one of the Evil Grand Duke’s wings. Inspired by Will, Colette, and the others, Sion Ulster regains his resolve and casts his powerful fire spell, Iflamme Burdelyon, at the beast.

Despite receiving Sion Ulster’s powerful fire spell at close range, the Evil Grand Duke endures. With both the wand and sword proving ineffective, the mages begin to lose faith.

At that pivotal moment, Will Serfort notices an ice shard nearby. Above him, Rosty Naumann urges Will, reminding him that the answer lies within the Wand and Sword (although Will is unaware of Rosty’s presence).

The narrative shifts as Will recalls a memory of a mysterious woman who entrusted the world’s protection to him as an infant. She placed a prayer in the young man’s care, longing for the day when the Wand and Sword would unite.

With clarity, Will connects all the dots and instructs Sion Ulster to cast a spell, believing they must merge the Wand and Sword. Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 11 showcases Sion Ulster casting Ignis Rooks toward Will.

To everyone’s astonishment, Will captures the spell with his sword, absorbing it. The episode climaxes with Will Serfort standing tall, the sword engulfed in flames. His eyes glow red as he experiences a surge of power.

In an exhilarating moment, he charges towards the Evil Grand Duke, swept up by an overwhelming force. Without fully comprehending the situation, he chants the spell: Ignis Wis. The fully charged spell cleaves the Evil Grand Duke in two and reduces it to ashes. Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 11 concludes with Will Serfort triumphantly defeating the Evil Grand Duke.
