Wistoria: Wand and Sword – Episode 2: Edward Serfence Puts Will Serfort Through a Test to Gauge His Talent

In the second episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, the audience is transported to a flashback of the past where Will Serfort is shown being mocked for his inability to cast magic spells. Despite this, Principal Caldron of the Rigarden Magic Academy presents him with a sword. The boy demonstrates that he is just as skilled as those who use wands.

After granting Will admission to the academy, Caldron reassured him that he had the potential to become a Magia Vander with his determination and skill. The principal was eager to witness the young boy’s journey and see his strength of character. With that, episode 2 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword returns to the present and shifts its focus to the classroom.

Workner Norgram delivers a presentation on the significance of scaling the Tower, explaining that reaching the “Top Class”and being recognized as an “Upper Class”is a necessary step. However, this is not the only requirement; a mage must also achieve the Superior Class either by inventing a new form of magic or earning credits through the academy.

Despite the fact that only a few are able to create new magic spells, the majority of students opt to progress using the second method. Nevertheless, Workner warns everyone that if they do not put in effort, they will not even graduate.

Following Workner’s lecture, Will Serfort and Colette engage in conversation in the hallway, where they observe a group of students surrounding Shion and commending him for his triumph over a ten-credit monster. Shion becomes incensed by Will’s proximity, believing him to be mocking him.

In the second episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Edward Serfence confronts Caldron and insists that Will Serfort be expelled. He believes the academy should only accept wizards, not warriors. Additionally, he claims that Will is unable to perform even a basic magic spell.

Despite the principal’s reminder that the boy has already achieved the highest class of the sixth year and earned impressive credits, she agrees to let Edward administer a “test”in recognition of his discovery of the truth about Will. She also mentions that if the boy does not pass the test, Edward will have full authority to handle the situation.

Caldron is aware that Edward, also known as the Dark Serpent Wizard and the Magia Vanders’ closest member, is capable of accurately assessing Will Serfort’s talent. As a result, the second episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword takes place in the academy’s study hall, where Will and Colette can be seen studying together.

Will examines the past conflict of Garzaronso, in which dwarves were used as workers. Despite having a strong academic background, the young man is determined not to fail a single class and jeopardize his opportunity to progress to the next level.

When Edward enters the room, he asks Will to join him at the practice field. He explains that since Will is struggling in his practical classes, he is willing to offer him a make-up session. Edward then presents a challenge to Will.

If the boy manages to land a single hit, he will receive five credits from Edward. However, if he fails to do so, he will face expulsion. Edward sternly reminds Will Serfort that someone who is deemed useless should not aspire to be a Magia Vander.

She informs him about the test and warns him not to interfere. Despite Workner’s belief that it is harsh for Edward, who almost became a Magia Vander, to be subjected to the test, episode 2 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword reveals that Edward Serfence had previously reached the summit of the tower.

Kiki, the enchanted feline companion of Will, discreetly leaves the battlefield and encounters Colette in the corridor. Recognizing that Will is in danger, the girl rushes to the boys’ locker room and retrieves his sword.
