The vast sky that stretches over the enchanted realm serves as a colossal barrier created by the Magia Vander, shielding the world from succumbing to darkness. Every student at the Academy firmly believes that by fulfilling their assigned tasks, they are contributing to upholding the sky’s protection.

Will’s daydream is interrupted by Iris, who tells him about her encounter with Elfaria. It seems that the girl had entered the dungeon upon discovering that the Ice Queen was the one who had requested the order. However, she expresses her disappointment at not being able to locate any Frost Walkers.

Despite Iris’s extensive use of search spells, she has not been able to find much information. While she continues her search, Will Serfort examines some ice shards and deduces that they are likely left behind by Frost Walkers. Based on the high number of shards scattered throughout the area, Will speculates that there must be a massive creature nearby, one that cannot be detected through typical search spells.

Iris is intrigued by how Will, who lacks the ability to use magic, possesses such extensive knowledge about it. The boy reminds her that although magic may be impressive, it is not the only skill that matters, especially in the dungeon. Suddenly, Will picks up on a looming presence of a colossal monster.

Will swiftly grabs Iris and evades the monster’s assault in Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 3. Despite Will’s warning for Iris to keep her distance, she reminds him that physical strikes are ineffective against a Frost Rex, as only ranged magic can defeat it.

Will reassures the girl with glasses that there is no reason to be concerned. He bravely charges towards the Colossal, skillfully evading its attacks. Once he spots an opportunity, he hurls Rosti’s enchanted creations at the Frost Rex.

Will Serfort is aware that a Frost Rex is vulnerable to fire and bombs. This fact is demonstrated in episode 3 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, where Will Serfort skillfully disables the explosives and magical devices to defeat the target.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword – Episode 3: The True Identity of Iris

As Will Serfort defeats the Frost Rex with his ingenious strategy, Iris watches as a mere spectator. She reflects on the disparity between the rumors and the truth surrounding him, and contemplates how she should document the events.

Upon reaching the Tower, Iris immediately seeks out the Magia Vander to relay news of Will’s presence. As she makes her way through the hallway, she comes to the realization that Will Serfort is not a mage, but a skilled warrior and swordsman.

As she walks through the towering door, she comes face to face with the Magia Vanders, each seated upon their respective thrones. The only seat left unoccupied is the one in the center. In Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 3, it is revealed that Iris is a Watcher, chosen by the Magia Vanders to attend the academy and search for gifted mages.

The girl informs the Wizards about Will Serfort and suggests that they recruit him to join the Tower’s services. Iris’ report causes a conflict among the Magia Vanders. Nevertheless, one of the Wizards believes there is no rush to make a decision.

He wants them to postpone their decision until after the Grand Magic Festival. All of the Magia Vander, except Elfaria, exit the hall following their discussion. Iris praises Will, saying he is a valuable asset. Episode 3 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword concludes with Elfaria eagerly anticipating Will’s ascent of the tower.
