The production for Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Has Reportedly Been Green-Lit

On July 24, 2024, @SugoiLITE, a trusted X user and reliable source, tweeted that the production for season 2 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword has been confirmed. However, the leaker also stated that the production for the sequel has not yet started.

The second season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword will continue the story from the current season. As of now, only three episodes have been released, and the fourth episode is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. JST on TBS and its 27 affiliated channels.

Despite this, it is highly likely that the current staff and studio will continue to work on the sequel, as Tatsuya Yoshihara, the series’ director, has stated that he will not be taking on any new projects until 2028. This information was mentioned in his official X account’s bio (@o_ihs_oy).

In addition, there is a sufficient amount of source material for a sequel. The first three episodes have only adapted 4 chapters from Fujino Omori’s manga series, leaving 39 chapters remaining. With a total of 43 chapters currently released, creating a sequel would not be an issue in terms of source material.

Moreover, the reliability of this news is further enhanced by the leaker’s track record of accuracy. In past cases, the leaker had disclosed the production news for the Ranma 1/2 remake and the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint anime before their official announcements.

Without a doubt, this news brings hope to fans eagerly awaiting Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2. However, those interested will have to patiently await an official announcement for more information.
