Witch Watch: An Upcoming Anime Adaptation?

The anime adaptation of Kenta Shinohara’s Witch Watch manga is set to premiere in April 2025. The plot revolves around Morihito and Nico, who coexist in a household filled with magical abilities. According to MANGAPlus, the story centers around Morihito, a young boy with the might of an ogre, who moves in with his childhood companion Niko, a witch-in-training. Niko’s magic often causes unforeseen chaos, and with two teenagers sharing a home… the fantastical adventures are just beginning! Witch Watch is a manga series that combines elements of fantasy and romantic comedy, with both the writing and illustrations being the work of Kenta Shinohara.

The plot centers around Nico Wakatsuki, a young witch apprentice who struggles with her clumsiness and often has her spells backfire. Despite this, she is deeply in love with her childhood friend Morihito, who happens to be a human-looking ogre. In order to remain close to Morihito, Nico chooses to make him her familiar, though he is initially hesitant. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the two teenagers are forced to live together.
