Woman distraught after automatic car wash “destroys” her vehicle

A video of a woman on TikTok has gained widespread attention for showcasing the damage done to her car by an automatic car wash.

Despite her excitement to take her car through the automatic car wash, TikToker Brittany Gentry soon regretted her decision as the washing devices ended up crushing her car.

In the caption of her viral TikTok, which has garnered over 1M views, she questioned, “Why do I always seem to attract the craziest things?”

While watching her video, Brittany let out a gasp of shock as she sensed her car being “destroyed.” Upon inspecting the damages after getting out of her car, she was filled with even more distress. Along with a significant scratch on the side, there were also multiple dents on the passenger-side doors.

After that, Brittany clarified that the driver of the truck in front of her had exited their vehicle while in the car wash because one of the machines had caused damage. As a result, Brittany’s car collided into theirs before it was crushed by the machinery.

Moreover, the attendant working within the car wash not only noticed that part of the machine was broken, but also chose to continue running it despite this fact. “While the truck was partially to blame, the attendant’s negligence also played a role,” Brittany stated.

After watching her TikTok, many viewers have responded by seeing her experience as a warning to never use an automatic car wash. One viewer even commented, “This is exactly why I always wait longer and avoid going forward when instructed, as they tend to send you too close together.”

Following the incident, the TikToker was provided with an estimate for the cost of repairs. She proceeded to share a follow-up video revealing the total amount, which exceeded $6,900. Despite this, she reassured her followers that the car wash would cover all expenses for the damages.
