This TikToker was in for a surprise when Walmart delivered her custom 22nd birthday cake, as they took her request extremely literally.
For years, Walmart has been offering custom birthday cakes. However, they have recently gained popularity on TikTok thanks to numerous posts showcasing beautifully decorated cakes with elegant cursive writing.
The current trend of adding a personalized message and decorative bows to cakes appears to be an extension of the popular “coquette”trend that has been gaining popularity on social media. Customers are purchasing these cakes to incorporate a personal touch and keep up with the trend.

Peyton Chimack, a 22-year-old TikToker, attempted to purchase a personalized cake for her 22nd birthday. She was inspired by the popular “thirsty”cake and followed the instructions to have her desired phrase written on it.
Chimack instructed Walmart’s bakery to write “Aries Baby”in small, cursive font and place it in the center of the cake.
Chimack was “mouth dropped”by the hilarious surprise she received from Walmart.
Walmart took her instructions way too literally
The mistake had the people in the comments laughing, especially when one person commented, “I’m curious to know what goes through people’s minds when they confidently play a note instead of a rest.”
Another user stated, “This is something I would cherish for a lifetime.”
Chimack created a second video in reply to a viewer who had asked about her return to the bakery. She did, in fact, go back and successfully obtained the desired cake, which she then featured in a photoshoot on TikTok with the correct “Aries Baby”design.
Avoiding a Walmart Cake Faux Pas
Despite not commenting on this specific error, Walmart’s 90-day return and refund policy applies to all in-store purchases of fresh produce. In the event that this occurs, customers can easily obtain a replacement at no cost.
Some individuals who have purchased cakes similar to these advise going inside the store and placing an order for the cake in the bakery section to prevent any misunderstandings with the message on the cake. While Costco offers custom cakes as well, they do not offer online ordering options.
The cakes at Costco are priced at $15.99, making them only a few dollars less than the ones at Walmart which cost $17.99. Additionally, the cakes from both stores have a similar appearance. However, if you choose to purchase your cake from Costco, you could even take it a step further and follow in this woman’s footsteps by hosting a birthday celebration in-store for a mere $30.
