A TikTok user has become a sensation for her cheese-cutting hack that guarantees flawless slices every time.
Bella, known as ‘paperbelle’ on TikTok, became an internet sensation when she posted a video demonstrating the “perfect way to cut cheese.”The video gained over 6.8 million views as cheese enthusiasts flocked to see what the hype was all about.
It seems that the solution to achieving perfectly thin slices is quite simple – just use a peeler to divide a block of cheese.
Bella disclosed that she had been utilizing the hack since childhood, showcasing to the audience the consistent and uniform slices of cheese achieved with the peeler.

Despite the “clever”trick impressing many viewers, Bella’s comments were soon flooded with European users correcting her by mentioning that the cheese slicer was actually invented in Norway in 1925 and that no one’s cheese should look so rough.
Indeed, it was Thor Bjørklund who patented the well-known cheese slicer, also called Ostehøvel. Many were surprised by Bella’s lack of knowledge about the widely-used tool, and suggested that it was necessary to “globalize”the cheese slicer in order for people to have access to the proper utensil.

After receiving a large number of comments informing her about the Ostehøvel, Bella created a follow-up video in which she acknowledged that she did not anticipate such a strong reaction. She expressed her surprise, saying, “I am impressed by your enthusiasm for cheese slicing.”
