Wonbin Discusses Seunghan’s Comeback to RIIZE

On October 12, SM Entertainment revealed that following extensive discussions with the group members and their team about future endeavors, it has been confirmed that Seunghan will rejoin RIIZE. His participation in various group activities is anticipated to begin gradually in November.

This announcement has stirred contrasting reactions among fans, particularly between those in Korea and the international community. Korean fans have expressed their discontent by calling for his exit from the group, even going so far as to deliver 1,000 funeral wreaths to the SM gate to protest the idol’s comeback. In contrast, international supporters have rallied behind him, sending in support trucks to show their solidarity.

In an attempt to calm fan concerns, member Wonbin took to Weverse to share a heartfelt message.

“Dear BRIIZE! I’m uncertain about where to begin, but I’ll muster the courage to share my thoughts with you.

As I write this, I’m attentive and anxious about how BRIIZE will receive this message once it’s posted. Nonetheless, I felt compelled to address this to reduce any confusion or distress that might arise from our silence as a group.

I recognize that BRIIZE has been pondering a lot about Seunghan’s return and our lack of a definitive answer earlier. We have been engaging in discussions with Seunghan and the company for a while now.

All the members wish for the best for BRIIZE, and we have approached this matter with great seriousness multiple times. I genuinely desire to bring happiness to all BRIIZE, and I regret that I haven’t achieved that…

While this message may not fully alleviate all uncertainties for BRIIZE, I hope it offers some solace during this confusing time.

RIIZE cannot exist without BRIIZE. I often remind myself of this, and I aspire to create wonderful memories alongside BRIIZE for a long time.

Previously, Seunghan was involved in a scandal when an anonymous account circulated a video showing him smoking and threatened to reveal more unless SM Entertainment took action within a week. Additionally, it was alleged that his former girlfriend, who was a trainee at SM, had been dismissed.
