Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are not particularly challenging games, which could explain why they were completed using the weakest Pokemon in the entire franchise. And for once, we are not referring to Magikarp.
Slaking is widely considered to be one of the most reliable Pokemon to use in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. However, its Truant Ability can be quite troublesome as it forces the Pokemon to skip every other turn.
Despite its downsides, Slaking more than compensates with incredible stats, the ability to skip its turn of loafing around by using a charging move, and the added strength from its Tera Type.
Slakoth, on the other hand, lacks all the positives and retains all the negatives in its first form. It is still hindered by the Truant Ability and does not possess the impressive stat pool of its evolved form.
