WoW Players Protest Broken Auction House with “Dead End” Signs

Since The War Within’s release, the WoW Auction House has been experiencing performance problems, prompting players to put up “Dead End”signs in front of it.

Regrettably, the community encountered several issues prior to the worldwide release of The War Within.

Blizzard Entertainment temporarily closed down the marketplace around August 21, but managed to reopen it in time for the expansion.

Despite initial success, users began to experience performance problems with the Auction House on August 29. These issues caused delays in the system’s response times and were brought to the attention of a developer on the official Blizzard Forums. The developer assured fans that the team is actively working on identifying and resolving the problems.

Despite the lack of an ETA for when things will return to normal, World of Warcraft players have independently taken action.

Chrisd28 and Everdale, users on Reddit, have posted screenshots revealing the current state of the WoW Auction House. On various servers, players have been putting up signs with messages such as “Dead End”and “Go Away”outside the entrance of the marketplace.

There is a sign that strongly suggests a reference to AMC’s The Walking Dead, with the words “Dead Inside”prominently displayed.

The problems have spread extensively, as certain players report it takes them several minutes to enter the Auction House, while others state that they are unable to access the marketplace at all.

Some Reddit users claim to have experienced new issues, causing other players to point out that it varies depending on the server.

As of now, there has been no official statement on the cause of the marketplace malfunction. However, many speculate that the surge of players for The War Within DLC may have played a role. Despite this, the World of Warcraft community is hoping for a prompt resolution to the issue.

The Worldsoul Saga kicked off on Monday, August 26 with the release of WoW’s The War Within expansion.
