Unlocking Delves in The War Within
To access Delves, you must first progress through the main storyline of The War Within. The initial Delve will be automatically unlocked upon your arrival at Freywold Village.
The journey called “Delve into the Earth”will guide you through the initial Delve, located in the nearby Earthcrawl Mines.
Delves: A Step-by-Step Guide

Each unique Delve will feature its own theme and bosses, but they will all follow a similar format. Your objective will involve defeating enemies, saving individuals, or facing bosses.
Delves can be tackled solo with the assistance of an AI companion or in small groups. Groups of 2-4 will still have the seasonal companion by their side, but groups of 5 must face the depths alone.
Keep an eye out for chests and trinkets as you go, as these will contain boosts.
As you advance through the Delve, you will have the opportunity to level up your companion. In this season, your companion is Brann, but they will be replaced in the next season. Additionally, you can discover Curios that can be given to your companion to improve their skills. You also have the option to select whether they will act as a Healer or DPS.
In addition to Curios and XP boosts, you will also have the chance to discover special boons during your Delve, which will grant you exclusive abilities.
As an illustration, by defeating the Invasive Species mob in Earthcrawl Mines, you will receive Fungal Footpads that grant you a healing double jump. This not only adds excitement to your gameplay but also proves valuable as the mines are filled with spider webs that you must jump over.

Delve Tiers
Delves are designed to be completed at various tier levels, which correspond to their level of difficulty and the rewards they provide.
Upon gaining access to Delves, Tier 1 will be unlocked automatically. Additionally, reaching level 80 for the first time will grant access to Tiers 2 and 3.
Upon reaching level 80, completing the main campaign, and equipping at least level 548 gear in all slots, you will gain the War Within Delves achievement. This will grant you entry to Tier 4 Delves.
Once this step is complete, you can move on to the next Tiers in sequence. Each Tier must be completed in order to unlock the next one. As you progress through Tier 4, Tier 5 will become available. Then, upon completing Tier 5, Tier 6 will unlock, and this pattern continues until you reach the final Tier 11.
Rewards from Delves
There are many exciting rewards to look forward to in Delves. The loot available can vary from Heroic to Mythic+ rarity, depending on the level of difficulty. In addition, there are numerous other valuable items to be obtained, such as:

- Resources like Undercoins and Resonant Crystals

- Extra rewards from weekly world events
