OSEN reported on May 31st that the wrap party for the second season of Netflix’s original series “Squid Game”will take place in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do on June 11th and 12th.
“The popular Netflix series “Squid Game”follows individuals participating in dangerous games for a chance to win 45.6 billion won. Season 1, released in 2021, quickly gained a global audience of over 140 million viewers in just four weeks. It remained the top-ranked show on Netflix for an extended period of time.”
At the 79th Golden Globe Awards, Oh Young-soo received the award for Best Supporting Actor in the TV category. Additionally, at the 28th SAG Awards, Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon were recognized for their outstanding performances in a Drama Series. Lee Jung-jae also achieved the honor of Best Actor at the 27th Critics’ Choice Awards.
After the massive success of Season 1, Netflix officially announced the production of Season 2 during the global fan event TUDUM in Sao Paulo, Brazil in June of last year. The highly anticipated new season will feature the return of Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hyun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun. Additionally, the second lineup was revealed for “Squid Game”, including Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.
According to reports, “Squid Game 2″has finished filming, starting in July of last year. To celebrate the completion of filming and wish for the success of the show, the staff and actors will be having a wrap party. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, Wi Ha-joon, Im Si-wan, and Kang Ha-neul are currently coordinating their schedules, and Lee Jin-wook and Oh Dal-soo have both confirmed their attendance at the party.
Furthermore, it has been announced that “Squid Game 2″is set to debut in the latter half of this year.
