Wuthering Waves Cross-Platform Compatibility – Answered

The highly anticipated game, Wuthering Waves, is set to be released on both PC and mobile platforms on May 22, 2024. Many are wondering if the game will have cross-platform compatibility and if it is worth playing on both PC and mobile devices.

Cross-Platform Gameplay and Crossplay in Wuthering Waves

After several years of development, Wuthering Waves, a free-to-play open-world game, is finally launching globally on both PC and mobile platforms.

Despite the release of Wuthering Waves, there has been speculation among the community about its cross-platform compatibility and inclusion of crossplay. With its availability on Android, iOS, and PC, it may seem that players can connect with each other regardless of their starting point, but there are additional factors to consider.

Despite not being explicitly marketed by developers Kuro Games, the game’s crossplay and cross-platform compatibility was revealed during closed beta testing. This feature allows players to switch between platforms while keeping their progress. However, it remains uncertain if PC players will be able to play with those on mobile devices. In summary, cross-platform gameplay is available, but crossplay between players on different platforms is not yet confirmed.

Despite the existence of cross-platform compatibility, crossplay is not currently a verified option. However, this does not mean that it will not be available in the future. As Wuthering Waves is a live service open-world game, it is highly likely that crossplay, particularly in co-op missions, will be a feature upon the game’s release. We will have to wait for the release of Wuthering Waves to confirm this. In the meantime, it is safest to assume that crossplay will not be available. Nevertheless, players can still continue their progression by playing Wuthering Waves on both PC and mobile devices.
