Wuthering Waves offers an abundance of farming materials. Echoes play a crucial role in the game and obtaining the highest quality ones is essential for conquering the most difficult obstacles.
Echoes in Wuthering Waves: Exploring the Concept
In Wuthering Waves, echoes refer to items that can be equipped by characters to provide stat boosts, buffs, and additional abilities.
In Genshin Impact, they function similarly to Artifacts or Relics in Honkai Star Rail. The Echo that you equip first will be the one that appears at the top, providing your character with a fresh ability.
These abilities may consist of fresh attacks, healing techniques, or party-wide buffs. Each Echo is linked to a specific Attribute, allowing you to equip characters with abilities from different Attributes in order to broaden their range of skills.
Sonata Effects are activated when you equip two Echoes from the same set. The bonuses vary depending on the Attributes of the Echoes you equip.
To increase the level of Echoes, resources must be used. This process is known as tuning in Wuthering Waves, which enables the unlocking of sub-stats for Echoes.
Tougher enemies reward players with better Echoes.
Echo Cost in Wuthering Waves
In Wuthering Waves, each Resonator’s maximum Cost determines the number of Echoes they can equip. At the start of the game, the main character Rover has a cap of 8 Cost, but this can be increased through leveling up to a maximum of 12 Cost.
There are four Classes of Echoes, each with its own associated Cost.
- Common: 1 Cost
- Elite: 3 Cost
- Overlord: 4 Cost
- Calamity: 4 Cost
To raise the limit on character costs, one must acquire Data Bank XP.
How to Obtain Echoes in Wuthering Waves
To obtain Echoes in Wuthering Waves, all you have to do is defeat monsters in the open world and then absorb their Echoes.
One can easily accomplish this by exploring the world and conquering various monsters. The more formidable the opponent, the greater the Echo reward for defeating them. There is no need to unlock any special abilities, as absorbing Echoes is one of the first tasks taught in the initial tutorials.
It’s always best to match the character’s Attribute with the Echo’s Attribute.
Obtaining Data Bank XP in Wuthering Waves
In Wuthering Waves, you can acquire Data Bank XP by defeating unfamiliar creatures, referred to as Tacet Discords (TD). To earn XP in your Data Bank, you must defeat monsters of various rarities, as repeatedly defeating the same monster will not contribute to your XP.
Once you have completed the tutorials, you can access the Data Bank through the main menu. Here, you will discover various rewards that can be claimed for unlocking Data Bank levels. As a result, both your maximum Cost and your characters’ Stamina will be enhanced.
