Triple H, a veteran of WWE, has praised Jake Paul for his decision to stream his fight with Mike Tyson on Netflix rather than on a traditional pay-per-view platform, calling it a “genius”move.
On July 20, Paul and Tyson will enter the ring at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
During his appearance on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, Triple H expressed his surprise upon learning the fight would be aired on Netflix. He also commended Paul for making the decision to showcase it on the streaming platform.
“Upon hearing the deal and seeing the announcement, my initial reaction was similar to everyone else’s: ‘He’s going to fight Tyson?’ However, the thought of a potential pay-per-view event between the two did cross my mind and I found it intriguing,”Triple H stated.
“When I came to the realization that it was only available on Netflix, I was impressed. The child is a true prodigy, taking a risk on oneself and elevating it to a whole new level. It’s a clever move.”
The topic begins at the 40 minute and 10 second mark.
The debate over Paul’s fight with Tyson has caused division in the boxing community. While Tyson Fury believes the match will bring great benefits to the sport, Eddie Hearn, promoter for Anthony Joshua, has described it as a “freak show.”
Despite the 30-year age difference between the two, there are significant concerns surrounding the fight, with some speculating that Tyson could be at risk of sustaining brain damage.
Despite concerns about the health of boxing legend Tyson, his trainer Rafael Cordeiro has reassured that the 57-year-old is in excellent physical condition.
