Xbox Live Server Outage Sparks Player Outrage Following Recent PSN Issues

Just a day after the PSN server outage impacted millions of gamers globally, Xbox users have experienced similar issues as the Xbox Live servers went down.

On October 1, the PlayStation Network faced an outage that prevented players from accessing online features for several hours. This disruption not only led to frustration among PS5 and PS4 players but also sparked numerous jokes and memes at Sony’s expense.

Much of the humor originated from the PlayStation community, although gamers on competing platforms joined in as well. Now, just a few days later, the Xbox Live servers have also gone offline, leaving players understandably upset.

Shortly after the disruption was noticed, social media platforms became inundated with posts urging Microsoft to resolve the issues promptly.

“Fix your f*****g servers I’m tryna play 2k,” exclaimed one annoyed player, while another shared: “Xbox Live is down and I can’t play my physical copy of Rayman Legends on my Xbox Series X; modern gaming is a mess.”

Players quickly noted that the Xbox Live outage came right after PSN had experienced a similar problem, leading to reports of gamers switching between the two consoles just to maintain their gaming sessions.

“First PlayStation servers were down, so I had to switch to my Xbox, now Xbox servers are down, now I gotta switch to PlayStation,” stated one user on social media.

Having both platforms down in such a short timeframe raises concerns about the reliance on online servers, particularly in cases where players are engaged in single-player titles they already own.

“First PlayStation servers go down, and now Xbox is down,” commented another user. “Whoever thought needing to be signed in to play the games you own was a smart idea…I hate you.”

Others joked that this situation represented a form of instant “karma” for Xbox users who had mocked PS5 and PS4 players during their downtime.

Microsoft has acknowledged the ongoing issues on their official server status page, and fans are hopeful that the Xbox Live servers will be restored much more quickly than their rival’s were just days earlier.
