xQc Advises Kick Streamers Against Reckless Gambling Behavior

xQc urged Kick viewers not to be “dumb” and gamble just because he does. The streamer is now facing backlash and being labeled a “clown” as a result.

Gambling on live streams has long been a heated topic. Although gambling is banned on Twitch, instances of content creators engaging in it still occur frequently.

Kick has enacted a stop to overtly sexual content, but it still has connections to the gambling industry, with prominent figures like Pokimane criticizing the platform for allowing gambling content.

xQc, who streams on both Twitch and Kick due to a lucrative non-exclusive deal, has been open about his gambling activities. He recently advised his viewers to avoid betting their own money.

During his September 12 stream, xQc took a moment to address gambling. Despite claiming that expanding gambling in esports could “revolutionize” the industry, he delivered a different message to his Kick audience.

As he signed off for the night, he urged Kick viewers, “Don’t gamble, don’t be dumb.” He emphasized, “Do not put your money on any gambling devices or platforms,” and criticized it as “dogs****.”

xQc concluded with, “because I do it… don’t do it.”

Despite declaring in 2023 that he would quit gambling after a staggering $5 million payout in Las Vegas, the content creator still frequently bets on stream.

Many users have criticized his contradictory messaging. One Reddit user remarked that he does not genuinely care “about his viewers as long as it makes him money.”

Others responded by mockingly referring to his comments as a “joke” and did not hesitate to call him a “clown.”
