xQc Contemplates Renewal of Kick Deal as Expiration Approaches

Felix “xQc” Lengyel has expressed uncertainty about renewing his $70 million deal with Kick once his contract expires.

On June 16, 2023, xQc gained significant attention when he signed a $70 million agreement with Kick, a deal that could potentially reach around $100 million with various incentives.

Since then, xQc has split his streaming time between Twitch and the Stake-owned platform, defending Kick amid several controversies.

Given the magnitude of this contract, speculation about xQc’s intentions to re-sign has grown. However, more than a year later, he remains unsure about his future with Kick.

During a Q&A stream, a viewer asked xQc about his plans regarding his Kick contract and whether he might return to Twitch full-time afterward.

“I don’t know what the future looks like,” he stated. “I’m not gonna sugarcoat it; I genuinely don’t even know what’s going to happen next week.”

He highlighted the difficulty in predicting future circumstances, whether related to his or Kick’s feelings about the contract or potential shifts in his career that could impact future deals.

“I don’t know how they’re gonna feel about it in the future, I don’t know how I feel about it, and I don’t know if things will align with what I want. What if I have a misguided opinion, and then something drastic occurs in the market that changes everything?”

It remains unclear how long xQc’s contract with Kick is intended to last. However, based on information he has disclosed, his payment spans over a 24-month period, suggesting it may conclude by June 2025.
