Adin Ross has announced his decision to leave Kick in pursuit of a return to Twitch, and this shift has caught the attention of fellow streamer xQc, who suspects that many creators might be altering their stance on him as his comeback unfolds.
Joining Kick in 2023 after facing multiple bans from Twitch, Adin Ross reportedly secured one of the most lucrative contracts in the industry. However, his perspective shifted dramatically within a year. After weeks of inactivity on his streaming channels and vague hints about his future plans, he became embroiled in a public dispute with Kick’s management, leaving fans and supporters puzzled about his next steps.
Finally, on December 7, Ross confirmed his intention to depart from Kick “indefinitely.”He expressed a commitment to focus on reversing his permanent ban from Twitch.
I will be making a full video on why I am leaving kick indefinitely, I am stepping down officially and I will be going into detail about this, this week. I will tell you all everything. With that being said, I am going to fully focus on being reinstated on Twitch. Thank you

Ross has long been a figure of controversy within the streaming landscape, having navigated various scandals that ultimately led to his ejection from Twitch. Notably, xQc remarked on the changing sentiments among his peers regarding Ross. During a stream on December 9, xQc described the enthusiastic responses to Ross’s announcement as “weird”and “cringe,”considering the previous negativity directed at him by other creators.
xQc’s Commentary on Adin Ross’s Transition
xQc expressed his astonishment at the apparent change in attitude, stating: “It’s strange that everyone was hoping for Adin’s downfall and criticizing him at every opportunity, yet now that he’s making a return [to Twitch], they’re all like, ‘Oh yo, dude, that’s f*ckin’ hype, dude! Let’s go! That’s the man right there, guys!’”
He added, “It’s all just so cringe. People are simply acting weird. It’s bizarre.”
Ross is not the only influencer returning to Twitch after a stint on competing platforms. During the 2024 Streamer Awards, YourRage, a former Kick streamer, announced his own comeback, citing unresolved payment issues with Kick as his reason for leaving. Additionally, Ludwig recently declared his return to Twitch for a special League of Legends event following the conclusion of his three-year contract with YouTube.
While none of these streamers are bound to exclusive agreements with Twitch, the platform appears to remain a preferred choice for numerous creators, especially amid the ongoing “streaming wars.”As for Adin Ross, although it is uncertain whether he can overturn his suspension, there have been indications from Twitch’s Dan Clancy suggesting an openness to discuss the matter further.
