xQc defends Elon Musk’s scuffed Diablo 4 stream on X

u003cp>xQc has come to the defense of streaming on X (formerly Twitter) following the criticism Elon Musk received for his “scuffed” Diablo 4 broadcast.

Elon Musk has been exploring the possibility of incorporating gaming streams on X in order to rival popular platforms such as Twitch and Kick.

In October 2023, game streamer systems were initially tested and deemed successful by Musk. Then, on August 12, 2024, he returned with a second Diablo 4 broadcast, where he announced that the beta was set to launch in the following week.

Despite facing criticism for his “scuffed”stream, with viewers pointing out issues with mic quality and bitrate, xQc stood up to defend Musk.

During his live Twitch stream, xQc joined Musk’s stream to check on the progress of the test and concluded that the quality had significantly improved and it was not as bad as expected.

“According to xQc, the video quality is poor due to issues on his end. He also mentioned that the effects in Diablo 4, which were previously causing a lot of pixelation, were holding up better in Elon Musk’s recent tests.”

Despite facing criticism from his chat for praising the X stream and being told they couldn’t “see sh**,”xQc defended himself by stating, “I am well-informed, chat. Don’t act like I don’t know what I’m talking about.”

Despite this, xQc remained critical of Musk’s beta, noting that the chat on X consisted mostly of bots and describing the set-up of the Tesla CEO’s microphone as ‘strange’.

Some also shared xQc’s opinion that the bitrate was “actually really good”and X was “streaming really well”, but criticized Musk’s “settings for recording”as “absolute scuffed dogsh**.”

Some speculated that [xQc] was using a laptop while playing, as evidenced by the large cursor (possibly due to a low resolution) and the shaky pointer observed in the menus. This led to the theory that the microphone may have been integrated into the laptop.

“My partner has all of his kids from kindergarten in the back, can you believe it?”
