Popular Twitch streamer xQc has recently shared his incredible finds while playing Pokémon TCG Pocket, showcasing some amazing ex and alternate art cards that have amazed his audience.
The mobile game, Pokémon TCG Pocket, stands out for its impressive array of rare and promo cards, competitive meta decks, and a plethora of engaging events. Since its launch, the free-to-play game has achieved tremendous popularity, generating an astounding $12 million shortly after its debut.
This card-collecting app has garnered the attention of both novice players and seasoned Pokémon enthusiasts, with xQc immersing himself in the experience. He recently highlighted his top card pulls, revealing some of the most sought-after cards from the game.
xQc Unveils His Top Pokémon TCG Pocket Card Pulls
In his quest for the best pulls, xQc invested 1,751 Poke Gold, approximately valued at $199.98. Utilizing the daily cap of 720 Poke Gold, he purchased a set of 12 pulls from ten packs. While he did not acquire any elusive “god packs,”he did manage to collect several impactful meta cards ideal for online battles.
One of the standout cards was the formidable Starmie ex, which he unearthed in his initial ten pulls. Starmie ex has been a game-changer in the meta, earning a spot on the best decks list due to its zero retreat cost and a two-energy attack that inflicts a significant 90 damage. When paired with Misty’s Energy generation, this card can be essential in clinching victories.
xQc’s haul also included two copies of Moltres ex, a powerful Fire-type card capable of energizing benched Pokémon with Fire energy. This characteristic makes it particularly useful for powering formidable attackers like Centiskorch, which can apply a staggering 130 damage at the cost of four energy. Additionally, he obtained Arcanine ex, which may deal slightly less damage but requires one less energy to deploy.

The most shocking revelation came with xQc pulling the Gengar ex card, which drew a significant reaction from him for good reason. Gengar ex’s ability, Shadowy Spellband, effectively disables the opponent’s use of Support Cards while it remains active on the field. This strategic advantage prevents opponents from utilizing powerful cards like Sabrina, Giovanni, Erika, and the often overpowered Misty.
In addition, xQc managed to snag the immensely potent combo card, Misty + Articuno ex. This combination can secure victories in single turns, given a stroke of good luck on the coin flip.
Overall, xQc succeeded in acquiring several powerful meta cards, setting him up for impressive deck-building opportunities. However, despite his successes, he fell short in comparison to another player’s acquisition of an entire “god pack” filled with illustrated rares.
