Despite defending Drake’s relationship with Millie Bobby Brown and condemning those who criticize their friendship as “disgusting,”xQc has faced backlash from some of his viewers.
During his latest Twitch stream, xQc shared his thoughts on the ongoing controversy involving Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Specifically, he discussed the allegations made against Drake after Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, which suggested that Drake may be a “pedophile.”
Despite Drake’s visible bond with Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, criticisms about the nature of their relationship have been widespread for a considerable amount of time.
At the peak of their friendship, Brown was merely 14-years-old, causing backlash from many online at the time. This issue is being brought up once again as the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues.
Before sharing his own opinion, xQc chose to view previous footage of Brown discussing her relationship with Drake. However, his perspective was met with disapproval from both his chat and the numerous individuals who saw it shared on social media soon after.
“Let me tell you something, chat. Here’s a wild thought,”xQc exclaimed.
“It is concerning that you find this concerning. It is even more concerning that you think it is concerning. Typically, if there are no strange occurrences or hints, it is because there is no issue at hand.”
As his chat continued to flood with comments from viewers criticizing his opinion, xQc decided to stand by his stance.
“Creating a scenario in your mind or fixating on an unusual situation makes you come across as strange and repulsive. Your behavior is quite peculiar. Drake, on the other hand, holds himself to a higher level and requires ample time to produce a video on the matter.”
Some members of xQc’s chat expressed concern over a grown man texting a 14-year-old. One even went as far as to say it was strange and defended anyone who did so.
Despite Drake recently reiterating the importance of their friendship, Brown had previously expressed her thoughts on their relationship during an interview with Cosmopolitan. She questioned why the media had to make their friendship the main focus and called out their behavior as strange. Brown also acknowledged the support and guidance she has received from others in the industry, thanking them for their contributions to her career.
