It’s a new weekend in Destiny 2, which means Xur is back. The shady vendor is waiting to sell you new Exotic items from the iconic looter shooter.
The Final Shape has arrived, bringing a fresh expansion to Bungie’s acclaimed game. Along with thrilling new Exotics, the Prismatic subclass, and the Pathfinder system, Bungie has also revamped Xur.
As usual, Xur returns to Destiny 2 weekly to offer Exotic weapons and new Exotic armor rolls along with his exclusive Exotic Cipher quest. However, he now provides additional services, features a rank-up system, and has a broader array of gear for you to purchase.
The redesign of Xur is intended to reignite players’ excitement for his weekly visits. Only time will tell if it succeeds, but you’ll definitely want to check out what he has on sale this week.
Where is Xur today?
From September 6 – 10, Xur can be found in The Tower’s Bazaar, located in a small alleyway to the right of the Ramen Shop. With the vendor’s rework in The Final Shape, this is now Xur’s permanent location, so he will no longer move around weekly.
Xur now has a permanent spawn point in The Tower’s Bazaar.

Xur’s new rank-up system rewards Guardians for purchasing his gear and services.
When will Xur next return?
Xur will remain available until September 10, before returning on September 13 with new Exotic and legendary gear.
While Xur rotates his inventory weekly, he always has an Exotic Cipher quest for players, allowing you to stack up to five quests at once, making it worthwhile to complete.
The process for finishing the quest varies but includes activities like Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, and the Exotic Mission Rotator. To obtain old Exotic weapons from the Exotic Kiosk, ensure to complete this quest weekly.
