On Monday, September 9, 2024, the official website for the Yakuza Fiancé anime series revealed its second promotional video, which disclosed the anime’s release date. The series is set to premiere on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11 PM Japanese Standard Time (JST) on Tokyo MX, followed by broadcasts on additional Japanese networks and streaming platforms.
The second promotional video for Yakuza Fiancé also introduced new cast members, showcasing character graphics for each announcement. Additionally, the video offered a preview of the opening theme song, which is titled “UNDER and OVER” and performed by THE ORAL CIGARETTES.

As confirmed, the Yakuza Fiancé anime series will air on October 7, 2024, in Japan. After its debut on Tokyo MX at 11 PM JST, the series will continue with a subsequent airing on BS11 at 12 AM JST on Tuesday, October 8, and on AT-X on Wednesday, October 9, at 9:30 PM JST.
The series will also begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on October 7 at 11:30 PM JST, shortly after the television broadcast concludes. The anime will be available on other streaming services as well, with Crunchyroll confirming that it will stream the series across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Newly announced cast members include Ryota Takeuchi as Aoi Tachibana, Hiroshi Shimozaki as Sota Inamori, Katsuyuki Konishi as Taketo Hotei, and Reina Ueda as Tsubaki Akashigata. These actors join the previously revealed cast, which features Hitomi Ueda as Yoshino Somei, Akira Ishida as Kirishima Miyama, Koji Yusa as Shome Toriashi, Hiroshi Kamiya as Azami Suo, Yoji Ueda as Renji Somei, and Kazuya Nakaya as Gaku Miyama.
Additional details include the ending theme song, “Nani Wararotonnen,” performed by Yoshino. The anime is directed by Toshifumi Kawase at Studio DEEN, with Rika Takasugi handling the series script. Character design is by Itsuko Takeda, while the music composition is managed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi and Masato Suzuki.
The Yakuza Fiancé anime is based on the original manga series Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii, crafted by author and illustrator Asuka Konishi. The manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine in August 2017, is ongoing and has been compiled into eight volumes, all of which are available in English.
