The focus of the Yakuza Fiancé anime is Yoshino Somei, a high school student who comes from the Somei family, an Osaka-based Yakuza group. Her life would have been ordinary if she wasn’t the granddaughter of the group’s leader and if the anime wasn’t based on Asuka Konishi’s Seinen manga series.

After discovering that her grandfather has made a truce with the Tokyo-based Miyama Family, Yoshino rushes home from school. Unfortunately, this alliance results in her being promised to Kirishima, the grandson of the Miyama leader.

Initially, Yoshino perceives Kirishima as a friendly and kind young man. However, when he reveals his sinister nature, she comes to the realization that Kirishima is even more unsettling than any gangster she has encountered before. Consequently, the anime delves into the intricacies of Yakuza politics and explores the dynamic between Yoshino and Kirishima.
