Yang Jae Woong, “Hani’s Boyfriend,” Reveals Surprising Challenges in His Romantic Relationship

Yang Jae Woong made an appearance on SBS Power FM’s “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time,” where he shared surprising insights into his romantic life.

He has been in a relationship with Hani, a member of EXID who is also an actress, since June of the previous year. Their revelation that they have been dating for two years shocked many, especially considering that Hani is 9 years Yang Jae Woong’s junior.

During the interview, Yang Jae Woong candidly shared that his background in medicine does not enhance his romantic relationship. In response to Choi Hwa Jung’s question about any potential conflicts arising in his relationship, he frankly stated, “In personal relationships, (a doctor’s communication skills) really don’t help.”

He elaborated by saying, “The specialty that provides the least assistance in familial matters is psychiatry. It’s not particularly beneficial even in my relationship with my brother, Yang Jae Jin.” Both Yang Jae Woong and Yang Jae Jin are practicing psychiatrists and co-host a YouTube channel known as “Yang Bros’ Mental World.”

When asked by Choi Hwa Jung if he believed he had a better personality than his brother, he humorously replied, “I’m certainly more forgiving than my brother.” He humorously “exposed” his brother, noting, “He tends to be neither yielding nor considerate.”

Moreover, Yang Jae Woong discussed the differences in how men and women express love, stating, “Women often hope to hear ‘I love you’ from men, whereas men typically want to hear ‘thank you’ from women.”

On a more serious note, Yang Jae Woong’s hospital, W Jin Hospital, is currently under police scrutiny due to allegations of negligence that purportedly led to the death of a patient. This controversy arose following an SBS news investigation that revealed CCTV footage of a female patient in distress, seeking help but not receiving adequate medical attention. She was shown to be restrained to a hospital bed. Despite the medical team eventually administering CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) after she lost consciousness, their efforts came too late. The incident took place on May 27 but remained under wraps until the family disclosed the details to the media.

Yang Jae Woong has acknowledged the occurrence and issued an apology, stating the hospital is fully cooperating with the authorities. However, the issue has gained further traction after Dispatch published a poignant interview with the victim’s mother.
